Parents:  please ensure children are enjoying and playing safely in the snowy conditions.  Please monitor their activities and caution them to avoid playing near roadways as well as private property.  (Keep in mind that all vacant lots are private property.)

 

Just a reminder that the streets in Skagit Highlands are City of Mt. Vernon jurisdiction--plowing and sanding is conducted on a priority basis.  Kudo's to the City staff for the awesome job they do of keeping Skagit Highlands Parkway hill and arterials clear and safe for all.

The alleys in Div. 5 are HOA but plowing cannot be conducted on these narrow roadways.  DO use your vehicle to pack down snow in the alleys to allow clear passage for others.  

Please DO NOT shovel your driveway or sidewalk area into the streets and alleys and DO park your vehicles in your garage or driveway to keep streets clear for plows and sanders.

As always, drive slowly and carefully--be on the alert for children playing and keep Skagit Highlands safe and a great place to live and play!
